The first trimester was typical. I was nauseous, tired, crampy, and moody. Well, I'm still moody. I had two doctor's visits and they were both uneventful. I do like the office. At your first visit, they give you a little goodie bag. I've never received a GIFT when visiting the doctor usually only shots, prescriptions, and examinations!
We announced the pregnancy to immediate family the weekend of August 8th (my ninth week of pregnancy) during our birthday celebration for myself, both of my brothers, and Aaron. Everyone was expecting something and guessing. Well, they were right.
Aaron's mother on that Saturday was something else. She popped out the chair and ran around the foyer in glee. I had to laugh. Once again, I wish I had a video camera because it was a classic moment!
After that it was a free-for-all, Aaron blabbed to neighbors, co-workers, and strangers on the street. I told friends and select co-workers who could keep a secret. But, that didn't last long. As I popped out, more people noticed and I was forced to tell my boss.
