What's New

Well, it's time to do something different with this blog. Yesterday, I got my laptop and wireless connection together. It'll be a work in progress but it's time for an update and possibly something new.

As for AJ...

He's getting smarter every day. It's pretty amazing to watch a child grow every day. Although his verbal skills are not there yet, he understands everything. We are beginning to spell words and talk in code. You may think AJ is not listening or even ignoring you but he is very aware of everything and I mean EVERYTHING. This past weekend, we had the cleaning lady over. Little Mr. Aaron kept track of her, daddy, and mommy. He wore himself out. I had to put him down for a nap a little earlier than I had planned so we all could take a break.

Physically, AJ is not super interested in climbing things. He will take on our back staircase with full force if he wants, but it's the exception and not the rule. He likes to color, knock down blocks, push his cars underneath the TV cabinet, and pretend to talk on the phone (or any other object he puts up to his ear). All the baby books were right about children loving routines. Aaron Jr. loves his routine so much that he'll push ME to go upstairs and get ready for bed. We go through the same process every evening and he goes to bed with no problem.

I still cannot believe that he was ever so small (if you consider 9lbs small for a baby) and helpless. Now, he is getting milk out the refrigerator and putting it on the counter. OK...the container is relatively empty but he's still doing it. He tries to wipe up his spills on the floor and using the Swifter. He's learning how to remove clothing and using zippers. And the list goes on and on.

On that note, this chica is signing off. Until the next time....
