Happy 2nd Birthday!

Two years ago around 10:45pm AJ was born. He's such a joy. For the most part, he's such a happy child. He loves the simple things and doesn't take much to entertain him. On our way home this evening, he broke out into laughter. He was looking at me cracking up. I ask, "What's so funny AJ?" He just laughs. When Aaron and I sang happy birthday, he seemed to know what the song meant and it was just for him today. He was so happy and let us sing the entire song. He even entertained us by eating a little of his birthday cupcake. Then...he went back to the Legos!!!

Here are some of my AJ observations over the past year:

-If he hurts himself, he will push you away. He's saying..."I can take it. I'll be ok."

-If he really likes you, he'll give you a kiss if you ask for one. Just don't sneak and take it.
-A crayon and plenty (and I mean PLENTY) of paper is all he needs to keep him busy for an hour.

-He loves to laugh...tickle him under his arms or on his feet to get an easy chuckle.

-Read him books and lots of them. If you don't feel like getting up to get them, don't worry. He'll get them for you.

-His favorite objects are the ones he used to be afraid of: the vacuum, the exercise ball, snow, and puddles (water in general).

-He loves being outside. It doesn't matter if it's hot or cold out.

-Milk is his beverage of choice. He will NEVER turn down a french fry.

-AJ can figure most electronics out pretty quickly. He can take pictures of himself on my cell phone and camera. He can turn the radio on and play his CDs. When it's time for bed, he turns everything within his reach OFF.

Just gotta love him!!! Happy Birthday AJ!!!

Happy birthday Big Brother A.J.
For Mom and Dad, welcome to the terrible 2's. They really are not terrible, just more fun adventures of parenting.
