Happy Birthday Buddha!!!

He's the big 4!!! Every time, I blink he's getting taller and smarter. He's my right hand dude. He's always looking for me. ALWAYS!

Whenever I need to feel loved, he's there...at my heels, in my face, holding onto my hair, patting my face, giving me kisses, or having me taste something. Although it drives me crazy most days, I really wouldn't have it any other way. I'd feel sad the day I wake up and he's too old to do those things.

Will I notice when he no longer yells "Momma?" when he wakes up in the morning? Will I notice when he doesn't come in the door and say "Where's momma?" Will I notice when he's so busy playing that he doesn't come searching for me 10 minutes after I disappear upstairs?

These days are numbered. And, I know it. He's a baby but not really a baby.

My moment with AJ happened on his 1st day of Kindergarten. He turned away and walked into that big scary elementary school with no hesitation. You want to cry and jump for joy at the same time. It's such a confusing moment when your baby is no longer a baby but still a baby.

I'm sure Buddha will be the same. Until then, I'll give him piggy back rides and swing him in the "baby" swing. I'll let him sit in my lap and cuddle. I'll let him run toward me and I'll pick him up and swing him around. Tomorrow he'll be too heavy.

On a lighter note, we went to Chuck E. Cheese per his request. The best part for me was the Ticket Blaster. Initially, the shock of the air threw him off. But, he started to calmly catch the tickets and he got a big one in the process!!! He had a great time with his friends. He ran around and played with each and every one! It's the place where a kid can be a kid (even daddy's can be a kid!)!!!
